Tenure, promotion, and reappointment assessments are conducted by various committees with oversight by the school’s dean. With the exception of the Schools of Law, Medicine, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Provost’s Standing Advisory and Appointment Committees (SAACs) advise the provost with respect to the school’s strategic plans, the authorization of faculty positions, and the appointment or promotion of faculty to senior positions.
