HBCU Partner Institutions

Each of these HBCUs has worked with Yale to formalize a joint committment as part of the ASCEND Initiative. This list of partners will grow over time. Faculty and students from these partner institutions are eligible to participate in the Collaborative Research Grants, Faculty Research Fellowships, Teaching Fellowships, Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships, and the Postbaccalaureate (pre-doctoral) Program.

Claflin University’s mission is to provide a student-centered, liberal arts education that integrates cutting-edge research, experiential learning, and state-of-the-art technology throughout its rigorous curriculum.
